Structures can become compromised as the existing foundations fail due to ground heave and other varying factors. This method of underpinning incorporates mass concrete base with beams to extend and strengthen the existing foundations.

Benefits
Repairs existing foundations.
Provides access to plumbing / insulation systems for improvements.
Allows structural changes to prepare for re-purposing.
Increases the usability for below ground space (basements).
Strengthens and extends foundations for property improvements.
Process
Foundations can be repaired by reinforcing the area underneath the current footings to support the original structure.
TRENCHING
Trenches are dug along the wall and at strategic intervals through the existing footings and acro-props support the weight of the building.
BASE FRAMEWORK
Steel framework is placed in the trench and filled with concrete to create a reinforced base. Once the concrete has cured, the reinforced concrete beam transfers the building load to support the old foundations and prevent further damage occurring.
