If you are seeing zigzag or vertical cracks in your walls, it could mean there’s an underlying issue with the building’s structure. Various causes include: home improvements causing stress on the foundations, weathering causing materials to expand and contract, or trees causing heave.
Technical Info
Viscosity: Low – high depending on crack.
Walls or Floor: Both.
Reinforcement: Epoxy Resin / Steel Bars
Benefits
A non-invasive repair system.
Resin is flexible to compensate for any movement.
Quick method of repair.
Forms a reinforced splint within the crack.
Minimal visual difference.
Process
The aggregate around the brickwork is ground away through the structural crack. Using a pressurised hose, water is blasted in the bed of the masonry to remove loose debris.
CRACK STITCHING
Epoxy resin is injected along the back of the masonry bed and high tensile crack stitching bars are installed within the resin so that it bonds within the crack.
REPOINTING
Once the resin has cured the bed is re-grouted to seal in the reinforcement and correct the structural appearance where the crack has formed.
